SUPERVISED VISITATIONS @$25.00 PER HOUR  (1/3 THE INDUSTRY AVERAGE)

The center  provides a secure but friendly, home like environment where parents who have supervised visitation only can still visit with and interact with their child. Games, puzzles etc are provided that require interaction between the parent and child. Study areas for a parent s participation in the child homework are provided and the dropping off parent should provide any homework assignments due the next school day. No TV is allowed to maximize parent-child interaction .Videos of these visits are made available for a reasonable cost to either parent if both parents consent to the videos use in court without requesting testimony of the supervising officer. Waivers and agreements will be provided for the parents to present to their attorney for filing. Closed circuit cameras may monitor all of the visitation area but all supervised visitation is 100 % eyes on at all times by the officer. AT NO TIME may a child be on the premises without being accompanied by one parent. At no time may a parent discuss his or her case with the child or children, The supervised parent may not leave the building with the child or children at any time and may not personally leave the building until 5 minutes after the child is picked up. We will not supervise any case in which the parent has been tried and found guilty of actually abusing a child. In cases where either parent alleges abuse without any substantiation and the Court simply wants to protect the child from alleged potential abuse until evidence is heard, supervised visitation will be accepted until the Court removes or modifies any restrictions on visitation. A low cost bunk room is available for fathers with consecutive days of supervised visitation where the mother picks up the child at each nighttime. No supervised overnight visitation is available

OUR SUPERVISORS:

Our Supervisors are recommended by senior law enforcement officers or the Court and may include off duty active or retired deputies or policemen, off duty or retired prison guards , retired law enforcement officers , officers of the Court , or individuals referred by the Golconda Sheriff‘s Department . Some may have the authority to arrest on the spot or they may call an on duty deputy sheriff who should arrive in minutes. Supervisors will attempt to remain inconspicuous and will not normally talk to the parent or child during a visit. They will only intervene in visits if a court order is being violated or a child is felt to be endangered. They will terminate the visitation immediately if they feel it necessary and their discretion is absolute. Arguing with a supervisor automatically terminates any violators permission to remain in the visitation center and failure of any arguing parent to leave when requested will result in trespass charges. The supervisor may use weapon detecting electronics to screen anyone entering the center. The parents must agree that the supervisor may not be called to testify except for instances where visitations are interrupted by the Supervisor for violations of any court order, the discussion of the parent’s case, with the child/children, or threat of child or spousal abuse. The parents must agree to any requested or Court ordered recording of supervised visits and the viewing of any recording by the Court only unless the courts agrees to the release of any recording to the parents.

VISITATION EXCHANGES AT 101/103 W. MAIN GOLCONDA, ILLINOIS @ 10.00 PER EXCHANGE:

The Visitation center offers a safe and secure place for divorced or divorcing parents to drop off and pick up their children without having to physically face the other parent. At the same time the child is in a private, child friendly environment and does not have to endure the looks of inquisitive third parties. The stigma of exchanges at the Sheriff’s office or a police station is avoided as is the child’s sensing that one parent is a bad person. Non uniformed law enforcement-trained or recommended personnel are present at all exchanges and the dropping off and picking up parents have no contact and are never in the same room. Both the parents must be present in separate parts of the building the building at drop off and pick up times. This lowers tensions and often prevents (or documents ) false allegations of harassment or visitation interference from either parent and wasted Court time. No contact is allowed between the parents and a record of timeliness in dropping off or picking up at the Court ordered times is created which is available at the request of the Court or through discovery . A Court order or written agreement between the parents is required and visitation may occur only at the times and dates printed in the most current Court order. A record of all visitation exercised is available to any Judge or parent so requesting. Videos of visitation exchanges are available on request of the Court if set up and paid in advance.

NON SUPERVISED VISITATION IN SPORTSMEN'S PARADISE

The Golconda area provides many opportunities for recreational activities for prolonged visitations. Great fishing and exploring many state parks would be quality time visitation between any parent and child. A low cost visitation center B&B bunk room can be provided for fathers (men only) and children who don’t want to waste their weekend time with their child in commuting . Eating and grocery facilities are less than a block away although limited kitchen facilities are in the building if desired. Plug ins for boat trolling motors are provided street side but good fishing from the bank is only a short walk away. No alcoholic drink or smoking is allowed anywhere or at anytime in the Visitation center building. Other male family members may have an opportunity to also stay in the bunk room and to interact with the father and child. This non supervised visitation is not recorded or monitored in any way unless the parent exercising visitation requests recordings at his expense. Weekend packages are at such a low cost they may be less than the commuting cost of gasoline for out of the immediate area fathers

NON REFUNDABLE FEES:

Simple on times visitation drop off and pick up: $10.00

Fee for failure to pick up or drop off on time: $15.00 per hour to be paid by late parent (our hourly payment to the supervisor, this is not a babysitting service)

Failure to drop off or pick up on time: A report will be filed with Court and The Sheriff’s department if intentional or repeated interference or non compliance with court ordered visitation times occur.

Supervised visitation:$25.00 per hour, 3 HOUR MINIMUM CHARGE

Video CD of visit : $25.00 Paid in advance by the requesting party but available for viewing only by the Court. To facilitate more relaxed visits between the children , these recordings are not for the purpose of a parent to oversee another parent’s visits but only for private review by the Court unless the Court releases said recording to the parties.

Bunkroom facilities for UNSUPERVISED VISITS (by reservation):

Bunkroom Charges are $25 per night for father and son, $10.00 per night per extra child, Female children require advance notice to arrange privacy for the child nearby the father. A separate room with a separate outside entrance is available for families or female parents. The Dairy Bar Restaurant and a grocery store is less than a block away and provides carry-out meals which can be consumed in the visitation center. kitchen facilities are provided. Pajamas are required .

No supervised overnight visitation is available.

AVAILABLE HOURS OF VISITATION CENTER OPERATION ( BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)

VISITATION PICKUPS AND DROP OFFS: 3to 6 PM weekdays , 9 TO 10 AM and 4TO 5 PM Saturdays , Sundays, and legal or school holidays (unless agreed upon by the parties in writing, (the time and dates MUST be exactly at the times and dates set forth in the most current Court’s order).

Both parents must be present at drop-offs and pickups.

SUPERVISED VISITATIONS: (3 HOUR MINIMUM CHARGE,$75.00)

9 AM to 5PM Saturdays , Sundays, legal or school holidays

4 PM to 8PM Weekdays

With prior arrangements ,other times during normal workdays may be available with special requests, advance notice and agreement of parties or order of the Court.
